Frank De Winne safely back on Earth

Frank De Winne , is a Belgian Air Component officer and a ESA astronaut. He is the second Belguim’s man in the space and just arrived after a period of six months in the outer space.

Nowadays  Frank the Winne landed last Tuesday in North Kazakhstan.He is the first European to command a mission in the International Space Station.After six months in space Frank The Winne has returned along with Russian cosmonaut Roman Romanenko and Space Agency astronaut Robert Thirsk Canadian.

The Winne  and his colleagues have conducted numerous studies and science experiments. One of the most important was to investigate human physiology of the cardiovascular system adaptation to space, retention of salt in the human body and how it changes our perception of three-dimensional microgravity conditions.

During the six months of his stay on the ISS, De Winne was very important as it was instrumental in taking up the robotic operations that allowed the re-supply ship docked Japanese HTV 1 to the ISS.

The arrival has not been easy for the crew, as after three hours of traveling, have come very tired and his muscles atrophied but this has not hidden his great satisfaction.

The next task is to analyze the results of the mission, Moscow is the city where these tests are performed in the training center in Star City.

Frank the Winne talks abort this event. He says: “It is a confirmation for the quality of our work, of our teams who support the operations and who prepare, train and support our astronauts,” she told BBC News.
